The Founders

Samantha & Steve Young.

Special Stays was founded by Samantha and Steve Young in 2018. We are owner-operators ourselves — hands-on hosts who understand exactly what it means to entrust a valuable home to someone else.

Between us we bring a hospitality and teaching background, deep local knowledge of the Western Australian coast, and more than seven years reading this market first-hand. That experience shows in the detail: calm decisions, considered presentation, and the operational maturity of a far larger company held to the standards of a small one.

We started Special Stays because premium properties were being managed like commodities — high turnover, thin oversight, little regard for the long-term condition of the home or the experience of the guest.
